Patrick Hansen is CEO of Luxaviation, one of the largest private aircraft operators in the world. Born in Luxembourg, he holds a Commercial Engineering degree from ICHEC, Brussels and an MBA Finance degree from McGill University, Montreal. He started his career in finance and banking, working in various European countries, and successfully created several companies throughout his professional career.
He founded Luxaviation in 2008, which began as a 2-jet company with the objective of providing luxury business aviation solutions to their customers. Since then, Luxaviation Group, with headquarters in Luxembourg, has become the second largest business aviation operator in the world currently operating a fleet of 225 aircraft and operating 26 VIP terminals (FBOs). Luxaviation Group also includes Starspeed Helicopters, the largest VVIP helicopter operator in the world.
Under Patrick Hansen’s guidance to provide customers with state-of-the-art luxurious travel packages, Luxaviation Group has developed services such as Amazing Trips, exclusive tailor made travel experiences across the world; Luxaviation Fine Wines, a luxury wine club that celebrates the excellence in viniculture; and acquired “La Fugue”, a tailor for luxury experiences focused on culture.
To further its unique approach to client service, Luxaviation has set up its very own client service academy working with businesses and individuals from an array of different industries including hospitality, aviation, finance and International Corporations alike.
Patrick Hansen has also made Sustainability the main focus of Luxaviation Group’s operations and the future of electric travel is at the heart of these efforts. Luxaviation Group has recently partnered with Lilium and Rolls Royce, to deliver high-quality experiences for their customers, and participate in the development of sustainable transport solutions and eVTOLs.
