Walid Alrahmani is the UAE GCAA Assistant Director General Strategy and Intl Affairs. He started his career in maintenance engineering working for multiple organisations in the UAE. In 2008, Walid joined the GCAA as an Airworthiness Inspector. From 2011 until 2020, he assumed the position of Director Policy, Regulation and Planning. Walid provides trainings on multiple topics in aviation safety. 

 

He holds : 

- a higher diploma in aircraft maintenance engineering from the Higher Colleges of Technology 

- Public Sector innovation expert diploma from Judge Business School; and 

- Masters degree in security and strategic studies from The National Defence college
